I knew from the point of ignition that the fire would be burning in seconds flat.
The flames would develop so dangerously the crackling and burning a symphony

Desmodus Lannilite born as the Grief Demon of Anger had rose up from the burning flames of Hatred that had revenged the world. Placed in charge of controlling the flames of anger that all mortal beings had fanned since the beginning of time.Now with purpose and newly born into the world Desmodus would set off to do his job as he was told. First obeying the orders of what he was created to do and lead people to a better way of life. To take upon their anger and free them. Though he would find himself distracted by another Grief Demon. A single man who would distract him and drive him down a new path, introducing him to more emotions than the single one he had been born from.Eton Defilcrusts, Grief Demon of Bargaining had met with Desmodus as his fire created an opportunity to obtain the elusive honey the sugary sweet demon loved so. Despite there being no true harm in getting it on his own, he didn't enjoy the feeling of being stung. Being unable to die did not mean he was unable to feel pain but unfortunately fate had other plans. While he would not feel the sing of the pesky insects he would find himself plummeting to the ground as the branch he had peculiarly placed himself upon would snap. In a flash Desmodus would be there, having been watching him with curiosity and intrigue. Catching the overly pink demon the two would find a spark.For Desmodus this spar was somewhat literal, a fire lit under his feet as the other demon would look upon him with such a soft gaze.From that moment on the two would spend days with one another. Desmodus doing everything he could to give Eton everything he desired. Obtaining something that no mortal had thought possible; Love. Even within the Grief that had birthed them the two demons could find Love in one another's embrace.It was a shame that it couldn't last forever. As the influence and power of the grief demons grew so did their influence. In one instance Desmodus, having been convinced his flames could be used for more than destruction, but instead of creation, had made something truly magnificent.Vampires.
He had created the first Vampire, and first clan.
It was proof to him, to Eton, to everyone that he could make something, create instead of simply destroy. Although the Empress did not see it as such. Their power had grown too much, their corruption of humans had crossed a line and so they were ordered to be captured. Ensnared. Trapped with no way out.

The fight hadn't been simple. It had raged on for countless days. Even more countless people dead or corrupted from the grief that would step from their capture. Desmodus' fire raging through the land and permanently scorching the Earth. What had been the location of their final stand would become a desert. All life stripped from the land, crumbled and burned to ash in the rage that Desmodus had for the Empress who dared to try and separate him from his beloved.(Canon-Divergence here)
What happened next felt like an eternity. Having been given as a trophy, or consolation prize, to the very race he had brought into existence his power was to be used by them. Forced to play along in some twisted hope he may be let free. He needed soul, a full soul in order to escape his prison but it would be nay impossible now. Given to the very creatures he had created, Vampires could live nearly forever and the chance he would be able to obtain a full soul of one would be slim to none.Hope had come in the form of Brier, who after having escaped her own imprisonment would steal him from the Grinvoe Clan. Countless years passing alone, with only the 3 vampire rulers he had been passed between she had promised him a way out. After all, she had already escaped her own imprisonment she could easily get him out as well.Manipulating the Grinvoe clan was an easy feat. Their child, Alister was easily manipulated in Brier's eye. Desmodus became more skeptical with time as he would watch Brier's plan fall apart. Airad, Alister's wife, would grow furious with the new head of the clan. Alister would be unfaithful, arrogant, but saved by Brier as she would dissuade him from making deals. Betraying Desmodus and having fallen in love with the vampire the grief demon would call out to Airad. A wife that Alister had taken, betrayed in his own way by being unfaithful, abusive, and after forcing her to endure such grief Desmodus would find her easily agreeable. She would kill him, and Desmodus believed that she would be the key to his freedom. Selling more and more of herself to him, Airad would wreak havoc earning her a reputation of killing anyone, and everyone who would dare cross her.Would it not be for her empathy returning to her, Airad would have freed Desmodus, but instead he was buried. Thrown into a gave with the body Alister and laid to rest for countless centuries.
Lost with his thoughts, lost from the world, unable to reach near anyone to the extent he had before Desmodus would go mad. Start to lose himself and become far more monstrous. Desperate, angry, furious, he still felt the grief around him and he could still feel the countless souls who held not an ear for his song.Centuries would pass before he would find a soul that could hear him. Truly hear his call, powerful enough that she would be unable to leave him be. Screaming his siren's song to her Desmodus would finally be unearthed after centuries of time had passed.
An ancient hatred and anger stirring within the woman who picked him up. He wouldn't lose this opportunity, he couldn't spend another maddening minute like he was or risk it ever again.

Spoilers for Threnody up to Part 13Safina had been the perfect child to abduct. A family that could not provide for her, she was given over to a vampire couple who wished so desperately to have children of their own. So she was taken in and they would raise her with all the love they could muster. Proud of their daughter who would grow up to learn about Vampire culture and their way of life. How she would 'earn her wings' during her transformation when she grew up to be bigger. Waiting, longing the day she could fully join her mother and father.But it was this that would cause her downfall. For Safina didn't know that the vampiric curse did not take well to those with red hair. While her hair was not the brightest hues of crimson it was enough that during her ceremony many did not believe she would survive. Still, she was determined to beat through the curse, longing so desperately and for so long to be part of the court and finally be one of them, Safina was able to survive the transformation within inches of her life being fully snuffed out.Yet it was here her fate was sealed. Looking up at the Queen and King with such pride and hoping they would praise her for surviving against all the odds. What Safina didn't expect was the end of the cane upon her. It was nothing personal, they would claim, but they didn't need a threat to their rule. Confused she tried to plead with them for her new undead life but they would hear none of it. Insisting that she was never supposed to survive and so would attempt to take her life.And Safina fled, terrified and paralyzed with fear she fled the kingdom, the vampires, everyone she had ever come to know and love.

A lost Era
Is what it would be known to Safina as she continued fleeing as far as possible from Autumn and the rulers there. Yet with the rise of vampiric hatred it left very little places left she could survive. Having to learn how to be a vampire all on her with no help from any mentor or her own parents Safina would fend for herself. Killing anything and everything she could get her hands on, resulting in her needing to feast upon the most wretched things that tested the meaning of 'immortality' they were given.Still, the worst was yet to come.
With time moving ever forward no word of the Grinvoe clan would reach her as she resided within the snow hills and mountains of Winter. Surely a place no one would think a vampire would be. Doing her best to dye her hair more brown in effort to hide her red hair she took up a guise of being an Empress's soldier, or priestess. Spreading the world and doing her best to seem less threatening. As time passed on more and more people would grow weary of her especially as she held not the sign of the Empress's soldiers.
At this point, she was terrified to go back, scared to be found by the Grinvoe Clan and killed, hunted, and slaughtered. So she did what she had to. Safina gouged her own eye, blinding herself in an attempt to show her devotion similar to the other's who walk in the Empress's name.It was enough for her to continue on her life without much issue. Still, the scars and pain that followed her trudged as weights upon her back through the centuries that came after. Soon coming to meet a witch by the name of Serena C. Stensworthe. Together they would find peace in one another's presence until the call of one artifact pulled the witch in; and with his call came another.Anger.
It could feel her hatred, the residule anger that stewed in Safina for centuries over the treatment she had recieved. With the help of Serena, Safina was able to obtain the Anger Cane, and her the Shoes of Bargaining, the two now learn their new powers. All while Safina plots against the vampires that still reside within the world, and all those humans who also perpetuated what had happened.

WIPA Star is Born
There's not much known about Luka publicly before she had become a Vocaloid but there are various rumors surrounding her start.Some people speculate that she had been a demon born from hell, others fully convinced that she is a sinner, but one thing is clear; she will never tell you herself. Constantly changing her story no one is ever sure which one of her tall tales are the real truth. A few of them mention she had simply come to hell with her darling Miku and they had been gifted with such a powerful gift as it was destiny. Another was she had been a hellborn demon who had made a deal with Miku and transformed herself into something that ascended beyond a common hellborn creature.One thing is clear: The Truth will never be revealed easily. The only people who will ever know who Luka had been before is kept tightly knit between her and Miku.

Current Day
Luka is a very dedicated member of the band. Having devoted herself entirely too Miku's idea she does whatever is asked of her while also enjoying the things she likes on the side. Often enjoying the entertainment that she and the rest of the Vocaloids cause in their chaos. Watching demons and hellborn alike scramble to figure out how to respond to them.Often she is found performing, in various studios, or running errands for Miku. Luka does enjoy socializing though is far more of a listener than a talker and due to her dubious idea of what "truth" is, many don't bother to sit down with her for interviews. This doesn't deter her though, as with how open and welcoming she is to these social events she will gladly accept them even if she knows the motive behinid it is to get to Miku.Never is she bored in like-minded company. Chaos, fun, entertainment, she has crafted a life she will fight for. Enjoying it to the fullest extent in the various roles she gets to play, Luka is beyond elated to be a Vocaloid.
